2nd Live Surgery Workshop and Webinar for Hypospadias Repair
February 24-25, 2012
A 2 day live surgery workshop will demonstrate primary and reoperative hypospadias repair, including distal and proximal TIP, inlay graft, and 2-stage oral mucosa graft. In addition, prepucioplasty, ventral coporotomy without grafting, and tunica vaginalis flaps will be done. Registrants will also receive educational materials including a technical syllabus with step-by-step descriptions and illustrations of the featured operative procedures, an evidence-based review of non-surgical aspects of hypospadias repair, and suggested CPT billing codes. CDs of the live surgeries will be available for purchase after the event to registrants. The workshop is designed for the pediatric urologist or surgeon with an active practice in hypospadias repair. Course Directors are Warren Snodgrass and Nicol Bush, and visiting faculty will be J Pippi Salle and Martin Koyle. The workshop is designated for 16 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits™. Experienced advocates and public policy pros will lead conference sessions in an open forum format to inspire frank discussions and real solutions. Panels will focus on state policies that impact the practice of medicine including: employment and insurer contracting laws, corporate and self-insured employers' perspectives on reform, finding common ground with non-physician providers and promoting liability reforms. The agenda also includes an extraordinary panel featuring the Presidents of the AACU, AUA and LUGPA speaking about each organization's role in state advocacy and support of state societies.
